Once I actually started investing, I realized how little I knew about the value of money.

Maybe it's because my monthly salary was dozens or hundreds of times larger than 10,000 won, so I didn't consider 10,000 won to be very valuable?

1,000 won, which is less than 10,000 won, would have been even less valued.

Because of that, I think I took money that came easily into my hands lightly.

Whether it's 1,000 won, 10,000 won, or millions of won, why didn't I realize that they were all the same kind of money back then...

Money doesn't have a label, but I attached a label like a name tag to the money based on the effort I put into earning it.

If we compare the ways to earn 10,000 won, wouldn't it be possible to break this prejudice?!

Let's compare from investments that I'm interested in to online games.

Part-time Job (Hourly Wage 10,000 won)

If you find a "very good" part-time job that pays 10,000 won per hour, you can earn 10,000 won by working for an hour.

Since you're converting your effort and time into money, you need to dedicate your time, body, and mind.

If you need to prepare to go to work, and commuting takes time, then you need even more time and physical effort.

Coupang Seller

I've used the term "Coupang Seller" to encompass selling goods or services through online marketplaces.

Even if you don't have your own product, if you're good at marketing, you can earn 10,000 won through work similar to being a Coupang Seller.

Since they offer a 3% margin, you need to generate about 340,000 won in sales.

You need to do marketing, so you'll expend time, body, and mind, but

compared to a part-time job, it seems like it might take less time and use less physical effort,

so if possible, it feels like a better option than a part-time job.

Blog / YouTube

I was wondering if I should put these two in the same category.

By providing information, you can reduce the time and effort of others, and earn 10,000 won.

Maybe it's because I have a longing to be a writer.

Perhaps because I consider it a positive act to provide better information, I think it's better than the previous methods.

Since I consider this area to be about building my "fans,"

I'm challenging myself again, even after experiencing several failures and setbacks.

MapleStory Scania 400 Million Mesos

I used to play MapleStory, Dungeon Fighter Online, and back in the day, Ragnarok Online.

Game companies have cracked down on trading real money for in-game currency, but

game currency is still converted into real money through item trading sites.

Interestingly, unlike real-world currency, the rate at which game money is created is faster than the rate at which it's consumed, so

you can easily experience inflation, and prices fluctuate frequently as a result.

It seemed like I was going to introduce progressively better methods, following the flow of the previous methods, but why game currency all of a sudden?

I think there's also a part of me that still has the childhood desire to be the best online.

And if I earn money through game currency, it feels like I've earned it incredibly easily, like attaching a label.

Usually, you can't earn 10,000 won in an hour of gaming, so the method of earning through games is often portrayed as foolish, but

some games still allow you to potentially acquire very expensive items if you have a certain level of character and equipment.

I think of this as similar to scratching a lottery ticket.

It'll probably be a dud every time, but it might hit big one day.

(I remember that TalesWeaver or Ragnarok Online had the potential for this in the past, but was that too long ago?)

Bank Interest

To earn 10,000 won in interest? How much money would you need to deposit in the bank?

In the era of zero interest rates, and even negative interest rates, you'd need to deposit a significant amount to earn 10,000 won.

KakaoBank's Safe Box offers an attractive pre-tax annual interest rate of 0.5%. (Limit 10 million won) Let's calculate it.

The Value of 10,000 Won

It's 3,525 won per month, so you can earn 10,000 won in about 3 months.

In other words, if you keep 10 million won in the Safe Box for 3 months, you can earn 10,000 won.

It seems like banks are no longer worth considering.

Real Estate

How long will the myth of real estate's never-failing value last?!

There have been ups and downs in the market, but it's still considered to be in an upward trend.

The previous methods required time, effort, or enormous deposits to earn 10,000 won, but

real estate requires even more significant investment capital and a longer time frame.

(Of course, using leverage can supposedly reduce your investment capital while making for a more effective investment.)

It might not be appropriate to talk about real estate when discussing the value of 10,000 won, but

I thought it was one of the good investment methods, so I briefly included it.

If you invest in real estate well, you can earn much more than 10,000 won.

Stocks

You can also earn 10,000 won through stocks, the other pillar of investment alongside real estate.

Buy good stocks at a low price and sell them at a high price.

It's incredibly difficult to put this into practice, which is why stock investing is often compared to speculation.

Still, numerically, if you invest 1 million won and earn a little over 1% in profit, you can earn 10,000 won after deducting fees.

If your investment capital is smaller, you can invest 100,000 won and earn a little over 10% in profit.

Stock investing also requires a lot of time, effort, and investment capital, but

that's why incredible investors think hard and hard about how to reduce the time and effort involved in investing.

(Although their thinking also involved a lot of study time and contemplation haha)

Money Pipeline

As the name suggests, if you create a pipeline where money is continuously generated, you can earn 10,000 won.

If you build a very efficient pipeline, you can get a lot out even with a small input,

but if you create an inefficient pipeline, you'll only get a little out even with a large input,

The key is that it's a good pipeline if the input isn't time or effort.

KakaoBank's Safe Box, which we mentioned earlier, is essentially a money pipeline.

You can put in a maximum of 10 million won, and you get a pre-tax annual interest rate of 0.5% as a result.

Whether or not you'll use this pipeline depends on

whether you have a more efficient pipeline.

A real estate expert would likely be able to generate much higher returns with the same 10 million won by investing in real estate,

and a stock market expert would likely be able to generate much higher returns with the same 10 million won by investing in the stock market.

They could use the Safe Box, but they probably won't because they have more efficient pipelines.

Personally, my ultimate goal is to build a money pipeline by creating a web service. 😉

Conclusion

Currently, I'm earning 10,000 won by

working as a salaried employee, converting my time and effort into 10,000 won,
studying and studying, saving money, and investing in stocks to earn 10,000 won.
In particular, I've reduced the time and effort involved by automating my stock investment,

and I expect my earnings to increase as my investment capital grows.

Through this, I plan to accumulate time and money to build the next step, my own money pipeline.

That's the goal, but my stock investment system hasn't been fully tested yet, so it seems like it'll take a little longer.

Still, I need to continue to make efforts, comforting and encouraging myself that I'm heading in the right direction.
