A boibap (barley rice) restaurant located in Cheoin-gu, Yongin
I'll introduce Gohyang Boibap (고향보리밥) (No advertising)
The Gohyang Boibap restaurant in Yongin
used to be near Yongin University before it relocated,
and I've been going there since then.
It moved to the Everland area,
becoming larger and more comfortable,
making it even easier to visit.
Regardless of the time of day,
customers consistently come to
Gohyang Boibap, a popular restaurant in Cheoin-gu, Yongin.
Here's the menu:
When my elementary school-aged child, my husband, and I go,
we order two boibap meals
and one tteokgalbi (grilled short rib).
We also order jeukbokkeum (stir-fried pork)
and it's always enough to fill us up.
The reason we frequent Gohyang Boibap is that
surprisingly, my child loves namul (seasoned vegetables).
We can enjoy boibap with plenty of namul,
and the museongchae (seasoned radish) isn't spicy,
so we always refill it from the self-service corner.
It's a popular spot for elementary school children.
The jumeokbap (rice balls) that come with tteokgalbi are also
served hot on a small cast-iron pan,
which is always a favorite for my child.
Gohyang Boibap in Yongin is also a favorite of my family.
When we go with my siblings and parents,
we always order tteolleugi sujebi (hand-cut noodle soup).
The portions are incredibly large,
so I recommend ordering it for groups of four or more.
It comes in a large pot,
with a rich, flavorful broth based on doenjang (fermented soybean paste) and plenty of dried shrimps or small dried prawns.
The broth is truly delicious,
and the sujebi noodles are chewy and tender.
I highly recommend it.
It's the perfect dish for older folks.
Located in the inner part of Cheoin-gu,
it offers a relaxing, getaway-like atmosphere.
There are also many nice cafes nearby,
so you can enjoy a healthy meal and relax.
